Pilates is a gentle, non-impact exercise programme in which you are able to work at your own level and online classes are a great way to work on your flexibility and strength in the comfort of your own home.
If you attend my classes in person, you will know that I go through an assessment with you before attending. This is so that I can find out about you, your individual needs and any medical conditions that you may have. With online classes it is not possible to do this.
Therefore, I require that you read the following information in full before starting any sessions.
You must be at least 18 years old to access the online pilates sessions.
It is recommended that you discuss with your GP or Health Professional prior to commencing any new exercise programme.
I recommend that you commence with the beginner’s exercises and progress as you feel ready to. The Pilates exercises will begin at a low level and will be advanced in stages depending on your levels of fitness. Different levels will be shown within each programme and you are advised to work to a level that you feel comfortable with and not progress the exercises until you feel ready. Please work through beginners exercises before progressing to more advanced exercises.
It is important to realise that you should stop whenever you wish, especially if you feel tired or any discomfort. None of the exercises should cause you to experience any pain. If you should experience any pain from any of the exercises you should stop immediately.
With any exercise, there exists the possibility of certain dangers such as abnormal blood pressure, fainting, irregular/fast or slow heart rhythm. It is impossible to predict the body’s exact response to exercise, therefore if you have any medical issues these need to be discussed with the appropriate healthcare professional before commencing the program.
All exercises are undertaken at your own risk and nor I, nor Get Equifit or its affiliates can be held responsible for any injuries.
